Medical Assistant Dermatology

We are looking for a Medical Assistant with an interest in surgical and laboratory duties to join the team in our Mohs Surgery Center. We are seeking someone with a very friendly demeanor and understanding of great customer service. Great attendance, punctuality, and reliability are a must. This person must be team-oriented with a strong work ethic and be able to work well with others. Surgical experience desired. Interest in cross coverage in the laboratory, Processing of Frozen Tissue (MOHS Technician)- Training can be provided. Any experience processing histology slides or as a MOHS Technician would be helpful but is not mandatory. Knowledge of laboratory maintenance helpful. Good computer skills with the ability to maintain logs and spreadsheets. Comfortable taking initiative and task-oriented. Duties include, but not limited to: xc2xb7 Pre-op/Post-op Instructions xc2xb7 Surgical Assistant to Physician xc2xb7 Setting up surgical trays xc2xb7 Cleaning and Sterilizing Instruments and Exam Room xc2xb7 Perform accurate documentation of all procedures in a timely manner xc2xb7 Input information efficiently into the EHR (we use EMA through Modernizing Medicine xc2xb7 Cross coverage answering phones and scheduling patients when needed Skills Proven working experience as a medical assistant or surgical technician Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work Social perceptiveness and service-oriented Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee discount Flexible spending account Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: 10 hour shift Work setting: In-person Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience: Medical Assisting: 1 year (Preferred) Surgical Technician: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: In person
