As a Podiatric Medical Assistant with Kern Podiatric Group (KPG) you will work one-on-one with our outstanding podiatrists to provide comprehensive foot and ankle care for our patients; and in turn you will gain unparalleled hands-on experience and skills. KPG has been providing exceptional podiatric care since 1988 and has been at the forefront of limb preservation and wound care. While serving all demographics; KPG specializes in wound and geriatric podiatry. KPG provides services in clinics at Supportive, Assisted Living and facilities throughout the greater Chicagoland area. You will: Triage patients Assist in all aspects of patient care: procedures, wound care, surgery, and all aspects of patient care Manage patient flow Assist in scribing and auditing physicianxe2x80x99s notes Travel to Assisted and Supportive Living; as well as Nursing Homes Travel is required for this position–therefore, a reliable car and a valid driverxe2x80x99s license and state mandated insurance is required. Required skills and experience: Basic computer skills (troubleshooting, typing, proficiency in MS Word) Detail oriented Reliability and conscientiousness Strong interpersonal skills Plus, but not required: Electronic Health Records Programs Bilingual (Spanish, Polish, Russian) Medical Assistant Certification or CCPMA Basic Billing/Coding experience Podiatry experience Scribing experience Excel In addition to the benefits listed below by Indeed, we also offer flexibility in terms of: Travel within specific regions or zip codes Part and Full time Positions Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $15.00 – $28.00 per hour Benefits: Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Medical specialties: Geriatrics Surgery Wound Care Schedule: 10 hour shift 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Weekends as needed Work setting: Clinic Nursing home Office Application Question(s): Do you have a reliable car?
