Medical Assistant will gather information and documents to support the patientxe2x80x99s visit. MA will also be responsible for adhering to all policies, procedures, and practice guidelines, promotes teamwork with all members of the health care team, maintaining complete -timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually looking for opportunities to improve processes and workflow. Must be willing to travel two days out of the week to our contract facilities for our sister company “In House Senior Services” Primary Duties and Responsibilities: xc2xb7 Meet, greet, and room patients xc2xb7 Check patients in and out xc2xb7 Take vitals (HT/WT/BP) xc2xb7 Identify chief complaint xc2xb7 Assist providers as requested xc2xb7 Review and document all necessary patient information (DLS, PCP, Allergies, Medications) xc2xb7 Process requests for patient medication refills xc2xb7 Inform the doctor when the patient is ready and discuss the visit xc2xb7 Perform dressing changes for patients as instructed by provider xc2xb7 Explain all consents/follow-ups/discharge plans to patients xc2xb7 Clean/prepare rooms for the next patient/procedure xc2xb7 Stock rooms with necessary products/supplies xc2xb7 Maintain productivity and clinic flow efficiently during work hours xc2xb7 Utilize equipment and supplies adequately xc2xb7 Continuously employ infection control and blood borne pathogen standards xc2xb7 Continuously adhere to HIPAA policies xc2xb7 Schedule the patientxe2x80x99s next appointment xc2xb7 Provide patient education xc2xb7 Cast set-ups and removals xc2xb7 Assist in picking up and dispensing orthotics/shoes/cam walkers xc2xb7 Take/develop X-rays (if certified) xc2xb7 Autoclave instruments xc2xb7 Measure/mold/scan for inserts, orthotics and DM shoes xc2xb7 Submit all DME orders to Brittney Kearns, DME Account Coordinator xc2xb7 Fill in for front desk operations when needed xc2xb7 Ensure all documents are done for the day ex: (consents, pathology reports) xc2xb7 Ensure all treatment rooms are clean and set-up to for the next dayxe2x80x99s patients xc2xb7 Complete cleaning and daily checklist Qualifications: High School graduate or equivalent Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively. Enthusiasm for learning, a proactive attitude and a strong work ethic. Solid computer skills and familiarity with common software applications. Skills: xc2xb7 Comprehension: Adequate knowledge and ability to collect and report data regarding the health status of the patient/client. xc2xb7 Customer service: Provide services in a polite, professional and knowledgeable manner that meets all patient expectations. xc2xb7 Communication: Ability to effectively communicate written and verbal communication. xc2xb7 Organization: Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and maintain a high quality of care, while consistently demonstrating flexibility. xc2xb7 Accountability: Possessing the ability to accept responsibility for your actions. Physical Requirements: xc2xb7 Repetitively sitting and standing throughout the work-day. xc2xb7 Assist in lifting patients.
