Bridger Orthopedic is looking to add a full time (30+ hours/week) Medical Assistant to our Occupational Health team. This is a clinical and administrative position with primary responsibilities in patient care. Applicants must submit cover letter & current resume to apply Qualifications: High school diploma or GED Minimum 18 years of age Preferred 1-2 years CMA/RMA or other related medical experience. Preferred experience with health care information systems and EHR Experience with/understanding medical terminology. For the right candidate, we are willing to train and pay for Audiometry, Spirometry, and Drug Screen collection/Breath Alcohol Testing Certifications Job Responsibilities include: Prepare patients for exam and treatment. Record patient information such as vital signs, weight, and changes in medical history. Perform drug and alcohol screenings. Perform routine tests including but not limited to hearing and vision screens. Maintain up-to-date and accurate electronic health records. Accurately document phone conversations, prescription refills given, and appointments for tests and referrals. Schedule follow-up appointments Skills Previous medical assistant or closely related experience preferred. Previous experience with phlebotomy, drug screening, audiometry and pulmonary function testing Ability to work as part of a team as well as a high performing individual contributor. Working knowledge of medical terminology Strong computer skills Excellent communication, customer service, organization and problem-solving skills required. Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.
