Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Medical Assistant/Limited X-Ray Technician to join our Occupational Medicine clinic. In this role, you will be responsible for performing limited x-ray exams as directed by physicians, following established radiation safety guidelines, and producing high quality x-ray films for interpretation.In addition to x-ray duties, you will also be responsible for performing basic patient care tasks such as taking vital signs and medical histories, assisting physicians with patient care and treatment as needed, and maintaining accurate patient records and documentation.Responsibilities:Perform limited x-ray exams as directed by physiciansFollow established radiation safety guidelines and maintain safety of patients and self during x-ray proceduresProduce high quality x-ray films for interpretation by physiciansFollow standard operating procedures for all x-ray examsPrepare examination rooms and equipment for x-ray proceduresMaintain cleanliness and organization of x-ray equipment and suppliesPerform basic patient care duties as needed, such as taking vital signs and medical historiesAssist physicians with patient care and treatment as neededMaintain accurate patient records and documentationAssists in the supervision of front and back-office staff to ensure smooth operation. Requirements:Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant programCertified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferredLimited X-Ray Technician certification from an accredited programCurrent BLS (Basic Life Support) certificationExperience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in Occupational MedicineStrong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols and proceduresGood communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment Leadership and management experience preferredHourly rate range: $30/hr-$35/hr.
