Medical Assistant Float Position Summary As a member of the care team, the Medical Assistant-Float works to provide patient-centered care delivery. Provides initial preparation of patients prior to the providerxe2x80x99s encounter; assists providers in patient care activities, as directed; updates/documents records; relieves/assists Patient Service Representative as needed; orders and restocks exam rooms and office supplies as needed. The Medical Assistant-Float rotates between the Primary and Specialty care offices in a regional area, assisting providers and staff with office-specific tasks including scheduling, referrals, authorizations, and minor procedures. This Medical Assistant-Float is assigned to the Immediate Care locations in Laurel, DE and Seaford, DE. Medical Assistant Float Position Requirements Previous physician office experience preferred. Experience with electronic health record preferred. Reliable transportation. You will be expected to travel within the Health System’s Primary Care and Specialty Practices network as needed to support the office’s daily function. High School graduate or equivalent required. Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program preferred. Medical Assistant certification preferred. Medical Assistant Float Schedule Monday – Friday, rotating weekends, 9:00 am – 7:00 pm Medical Assistant Float Benefits At TidalHealth, full-time employees working at least 80 hours per pay period and part-time employees working at least 40 hours per pay period are eligible for benefits.
