Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist to join our personal injury clinic. As a Medical Assistant or Phelobotomist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to patients who have suffered personal injuries. ** This position requires travel between our Dayton and Cincinnati clinic locations. You would typically be in Dayton 2-3 days a week and Cincinnati 2-3 days a week depending on patient scheduling and work 4-5 days per week.** Responsibilities: – Greet patients, obtain their medical history, and record vital signs accurately.- Assist our providers and patients in preparing for examinations, procedures, and treatments.- Ensure patient comfort and provide emotional support during their visit.- Educate patients about their injuries, treatment plans, and any necessary follow-up care. Clinic Support: – MUST be comfortable with and skilled at drawing blood. – Maintain a clean and organized examination room, including sanitizing equipment and instruments in preparation for procedures.- Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.- Schedule appointments, coordinate referrals, and manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) system.- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families. Administrative Duties: – Assist with administrative tasks, such as data entry, filing, and completing medical forms.- Collaborate with fellow Paragon healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.- Follow clinic policies, procedures, and protocols to maintain a safe and compliant environment.- Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills. Collaboration and Communication: – Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to deliver comprehensive patient care.- Communicate effectively with patients, providing clear instructions and addressing their concerns.- Maintain open lines of communication with the clinic team to facilitate a supportive and efficient work environment. Qualifications: – High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy program is required. – Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist in a clinical setting, particularly in personal injury or orthopedic clinics, is highly beneficial. – Sound knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and common personal injuries. – Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and basic computer skills. – Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide compassionate care to patients experiencing personal injuries. – Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively. – Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality. – Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is preferred. – Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Phlebotomist is required.
