Job Type: Part-time Immediate opening for part-time Medical Assistant for outpatient gynecology practice in Chicago Up Town Experience: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: One, possible two locations Benefits: Flexible schedule, Hospital setting PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Description includes, but is not limited to the items below: xc2xb7 Scheduling xc2xb7 Handle inbound and outbound calls xc2xb7 Review and update patient demographics and insurance xc2xb7 Insurance verification and referral coordination xc2xb7 Make outbound recalls to former patients to re-establish patient care xc2xb7 Prior Authorization, Medical Record Requests xc2xb7 Accurate documentation in patient’s EMR. xc2xb7 Process and/or distribute faxes Essential Skills and Abilities: xc2xb7 Prepares patients for physician appointment and records vitals. xc2xb7 Ensures medical chart/labs available and complete. xc2xb7 Prepares exam rooms for patient visits including cleaning, sterilizing, stocking supplies. xc2xb7 Telephone screening and call backs according to protocol and routed to provider xc2xb7 Medical terminology, basic ICD-10, advanced computer/typing skills, EMR experience xc2xb7 Excellent communication and interpersonal Skills xc2xb7 Empathetic and attentive to patients needs and concerns xc2xb7 Highly motivated, organized and attentive to detail xc2xb7 Adaptability/Flexibility Education and Experience: xc2xb7 1 year experience in medical office xc2xb7 Certified Medical Assistant (Required) Job Type: Part-time Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour Experience: medical assistant: 1 year (Preferred) EMR systems: 1 year (Required) medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred) License: Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) (Preferred) Work Location: One location Benefits: Flexible schedule Supervisor: Physician Administrative Duties: Scheduling Insurance verification Answering phones
