Medical Assistant-Pain Management We currently have a Medical Assistant job opening at our Overland Park Pain Management Clinic. Applicant must work well in a team environment, be dependable, punctual and provides excellent patient care. The position summary: The Medical Assistant is an important member of our team. This position will be responsible for maintaining patient flow, providing excellent patient care and must be able to interact with physicians, nurse practitioners, and medical representatives in a professional manner. Requirements: CMA or RMA required. Prepare patients for exams, perform procedures that include but are not limited to vital signs, urinalysis, electrocardiograms, blood pressures, height, weight, injections, dressing changes, suture removal, and other duties as assigned. Maintain appropriate documentation of procedures in the electronic medical record; record reason for visit and other pertinent medical history while maintaining confidentiality. Completion of prior authorizations and referrals to coordinate care with outside consultants. Assist Providers as needed with exams and procedures. Set up equipment and instruments as required for procedures. Maintain cleanliness of triage area; keep exam rooms neat and well stocked. May screen and return phone calls for providers under their direction and supervision. Provide back up to other Medical Assistants. Must be a team player. Serious inquiries only!
