Responsibilities The Medical Assistant I, the Certified Medical Assistant I, and the Registered Medical Assistant I will provide supportive patient care functions for an assigned clinical area, under the supervision of a Physician, Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational and professional standards. Some duties may be delegated to the MA by the physician or RN. Preferred: Ambulatory Care experience Successful completion of an externship at Kelsey-Seybold RMA II xe2x80x93 1 year of experience related to department or specialty License(s) Required: MA I OR MA II xe2x80x93 No license required CMA I OR II xe2x80x93 Certified as a Medical Assistant RMA I OR II xe2x80x93 Registered as a Medical Assistant Preferred: MA I xe2x80x93 Certification within 1 year of hire date. Special Skills Required: MA I, MA II, CMA I, CMA II, RMA I OR RMA II xe2x80x93 Those hired into this position must complete the review/skill validation program within 90 days of hire. Able to use equipment and related supplies for selected patient population. Computer experience.
