This 1.0 fte position will be based at our Hugo clinic with potential for coverage at our Roseville and Lino Lakes clinics. The schedule for this position is: Monday 7am xe2x80x93 5:30pm Wednesday 7am xe2x80x93 5:30pm Thursday 7am xe2x80x93 5:30pm Friday 7am xe2x80x93 5:30pm The Medical Assistants at North Suburban Family Physicians are responsible for a variety of duties including: xc2xb7 Direct patient care including preparing exam rooms, rooming patients, taking vitals, reviewing charts, providing educational materials, and setting up for procedures. xc2xb7 Lab duties including collecting and processing specimens, performing testing analysis, documenting and communicating test results, maintaining adequate supplies, and documenting maintenance procedures. xc2xb7 Cleaning and sterilizing procedures including preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment and implementing infection control procedures as needed. xc2xb7 Stocking clinic supplies, reviewing expiration dates on supplies, maintaining adequate inventory of clinic supplies. This position requires: xc2xb7 High School diploma or GED FOR LPN: Graduate of an accredited nursing program and current LPN license in Minnesota xc2xb7 FOR MA: Graduate of an accredited MA program OR Graduate of an accredited EMT program and current EMT License xc2xb7 FOR RMA: Graduate of an accredited MA program and current Registration through AAMA or AMT xc2xb7 FOR CMA: Graduate of an accredited MA program and Current Medical Assistant Certification through AAMA or AMT xc2xb7 Current BLS/CPR certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross required within 90 days of hire and maintained throughout employment. On-line CPR certification is not acceptable xc2xb7 Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including appropriate use of English grammar and spelling xc2xb7 Demonstrated ability to function with multiple priorities and interruptions Preferred requirements include: xc2xb7 Current Medical Assistant Certification or Registration through AAMA or AMT xc2xb7 At least six months recent (within the last 3 years) experience in a direct patient care setting xc2xb7 Computer skills Physical requirements include: xc2xb7 Must possess speech, hearing and sight skills to perform the functions of the position. xc2xb7 Must be able to speak, read and write English proficiently. xc2xb7 Body mobility, coordinated dexterity of hand, ear and eye, sensory acuity and verbal ability to perform the functions of the position. xc2xb7 The ability to work walking, standing, and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time. xc2xb7 The ability to lift, carry, bend, reach, squat, kneel on an occasional basis. xc2xb7 The ability to read, analyze and collect data.
