Job Title: Medical Assistant/Limited X-ray Technician Duration: 13 weeks with the possible extension Location: Pasadena, CA 91105 Work Schedule: Day 5×8-Hour (8:00 am -5:00 pm) Job Summary: Job Duties: Greet patients, take appropriate vital signs, review current meds and record in medical record Assist with tracking and monitoring department specific data Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients based on scope of practice Set up exam/procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needs Clean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelines Administer immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by provider Draw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by provider Required Qualifications:*** Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from a DAPIP accredited program OR national certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, CCBMA, or MMCI.*** Limited X-Ray license with experience in extremities and orthopedicsxe2x80xa2 Demonstrated ability to prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature, and reporting patient history summariesxe2x80xa2 6+ months working as an MA in an Orthopedic settingxe2x80xa2 1+ year of experience in a outpatient medical or healthcare settingxe2x80xa2 Proficiency with blood/lab draws and venipuncturexe2x80xa2 Experience with would care and cast care Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years working as a MA in outpatient Orthopedicsxe2x80xa2 Experience with CS-Link/Epicxe2x80xa2 Experience with Allscriptsxe2x80xa2 Experience with Quest Diagnostic laboratory submissionsxe2x80xa2 Phlebotomy certificationxe2x80xa2 Understanding of medical terminology Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans Job Types: Full-time, Contract Salary: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Travel requirement: No travel Work Location: In person
