They are also responsible for ensuring the well-being of patients and for providing a positive, supportive environment for patients and other staff while working in conjunction with physicians, front office and clinical staff.xc2xa0 This position will float between our 5 South Chicago Clinics. Oak Lawn is the primary clinic location with potential coverage to: Orland Park, Downers Grove, Naperville & Batavia Clinics. Provide best-in-class medical assisting service to patients. Drives efficient patient flow: uses eCW to update patient status throughout visit, promptly room patients, perform Patient Verification process, obtain and document vital signs, take patient photos, and turnover patient rooms. Assist physician and RVTs in surgical procedures. Ensure the procedure rooms are sterile and properly supplied. Ensures procedure rooms are stocked appropriately and communicates with supply chain team as needed. Uphold the superior standards of care outlined by United Vein & Vascular Centers. PHI is a top priority of our organization. Other duties as assigned.Qualifications Minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a patient care setting. Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (AHA) or the ability to obtain within 60 days. Completion of a medical assistant program preferred. CMA or RMA credential preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication. Strong computer skills and experience with electronic medical records. Familiar with medical terminology. Dependable; able to meet reliable attendance and punctuality standards.
