Such services can involve therapeutic and/or diagnostic procedures. xc2xa0Responsibilities include:Triage, conduct vitals Experience administering vaccinations and immunizations Complete paperwork and forms Check schedules and organize patient flowAccompany patients to exam/procedure roomAssist patients as neededxc2xa0Prepare room for examCollect patient historyPerform screenings per provider guidelinesAssist physicians/nurses with various proceduresChart; relay instructions to patients/familiesAnswer callsSend/receive patient medical recordsObtain lab/X-ray reports, hospital notes, referral information, etcComplete forms/requisitions as neededSchedule appointmentsInsurance coverage verificationManage and update charts to ensure that information is complete and filed appropriatelyPrescription RefillsOrdering, sorting, storing suppliesRestock exam/procedure roomxc2xa0Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentMust have a current certificate of cardiopulmonary resuscitation trainingExperience working in a community health settingPosition requires completion of a certified/registered program for medical assistants that are recognized by the American Heart Association or American Red Crossxc2xa0(CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA)Minimum of one year of recent experience working in a medical office/facilityPreferred QualificationsConsiderable skill in communicating verbally, determining priorities, and in organizing work; ability to maintain an organized, alphabetized filing systemGeneral working knowledge of PC: Excel, Microsoft Word for Windows, and EPICComputerized appointment scheduling experienceAbility to handle stress in a fast-paced environmentConsiderable skill in handling sensitive public contacts with discretion, tact and courtesy when dealing with patients, coworkers and physiciansPhysical ability to perform stocking, lifting and transporting supplies and instrumentsPosition DetailsJob Type/FTE: Full Time (1.0 FTE)Shift: Rotating Shift – 2 8s and 2 12s with rotating weekendsUnit/Department: Urgent CareCBA Code: Non-Unionxc2xa0Must comply with UCMCxe2x80x99s COVID-19 Vaccination requirement as a condition of employment.
