Responsibilities: The Float Medical Assistant travels to rural clinics as well as the metro Oklahoma City area to assist with coverage for the physician clinics. Great opportunity to learn from a variety of job functions from the various physician teams. Travel is required and mileage reimbursement when applicable. Under the direct supervision of the Clinic Nurse Director, Clinic Director or Supervising RN assist with daily clinic patient care such as patient flow, taking patients history and vitals, assisting with diagnostic testing maintenance of medical supplies and other duties as assigned. Float or travel to OHHP locations to fill in for clinical positions on an as-needed basis, following all policies and procedures. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Licensure/Certification: BLS certification required within 18 months of hire. Newly hired team members with a minimum of one (1) year of Medical Assistant experience will be required to complete within 90 days of hire. If a new team member is hired with no Medical Assistant experience than they will have to obtain the certification within 90 days after obtaining the one (1) year of required Medical Assistant experience. Experience: Six (6) months to one (1) year of continuous experience in a clinic setting preferred. Every team member at OHH plays an integral role in our patientsxe2x80x99 experience.
