We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Float Medical Assistant to join our team. In this role, you’ll have the chance to showcase your clinical and clerical expertise while providing exceptional care to our patients. More information about this position can be found at www.medscribe.com/float Duties include but not limited to the following:Clinical Responsibilities: Escort patients to rooms. Obtain and record vital signs. Set up for anticipated provider procedures and examinations. Perform EKGxe2x80x99s. Perform screenings and tests per provider direction. Set-up equipment and instruments per office protocol. Clean and maintain exam/procedure rooms, instruments, and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control. Return patient calls per direction of provider. Perform Point of Care Testing Clerical: Verify demographics/insurance coverage. Communicate effectively through electronic medical record (EMR) system. Schedule patient appointments. Promptly and courteously respond to incoming phone traffic on multi-line phones through appropriate screening, routing, and prioritization of calls. Establish and maintain professional interpersonal interactions with patients, families, physicians, supervisors, and coworkers. These openings are: Full-time day hours Monday to Friday40/hrs. guaranteed $20/hr Benefits to include: Medical (no waiting period), Dental and Vision Insurance, paid holidays, PTO, vacation pay, weekly pay, and a 401K with employer match, and mileage reimbursement Scheduled on a weekly basis Direct hire Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent plus one year of experience in customer focused/service setting or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 6 months of recent experience working in a medical facility as a Medical Assistant, Ambulatory Tech, PCT, or CNA. CPR certification xe2x80x93 through American Heart Association. Experience working with Pediatric and Womenxe2x80x99s Health a plus. Medical terminology experience required. Reliable form of Transportation.
