Our Medical Assistants work closely with providers to deliver exceptional care for patients in our clinic by scheduling tests, patient appointments, referrals, pre-authorizations, monitoring of vital signs, and answering patient/family questions. What do you do? Greet and room patients, take patient vital signs, and answer questions. Record patient medical history and additional pertinent information, such as test results, in medical record. Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition as necessary. Administer appropriate treatment under the direction of provider and assist in patient care. Assist in prior authorization and respond to patient questions. Report emergency situations immediately. Assist in patient discharge and scheduling. Maintain equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting. Perform administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, scheduling, data entry, and/or patient registration. What do you need? Current AAMA or AMT certification as a Medical Assistant BLS certification Ability to travel up to 10% of the time to other clinics What do you need to be?
