MOR doctors are the official team physicians for the Chicago White Sox, Chicago Bulls, Chicago Fire Soccer Club and DePaul University Athletics.Ready to join in?xc2xa0We are looking for a full- time Certified Medical Assistant to be based based at the outpatient clinic in Oak Brook with light travel to Joliet.xc2xa0The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, communication skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-pace work environment. The position is responsible for providing clinical support to the Physician, PAs and Nurses in all facets of medical procedures in the clinic.Responsibilities:Direct the flow of patients into the exam room.Ensure rooms are cleaned between patients, as well as cleaned and stocked at the end of the day.Collect/assist with the collection of specimens, sterilizes instruments as needed, and removes staples, sutures, and external fixation devices as ordered by the physician.Maintain inventory of all necessary supplies, instruments, places orders, verifies deliveries, and approves invoices as necessary.Assist physician with procedures as needed.Provide instruction to patients regarding care of casts, splints, dressings, etc.Interviews patients, measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information on patients’ charts.Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.Drapes patients with covering and positions instruments and equipment.Hands instruments and materials to doctor as directed.Cleans and sterilizes instruments.Gives injections or treatments, and performs routine laboratory tests.Takes Vitals.Keys data into computer to maintain office and patient records.Other duties as assigned.Education and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent.2+ years of relevant medical assistant work experience.Knowledge of medical office procedures and the ability to interact with patients, physicians and co-workers.Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsCertified Medical Assistant (CMA)Our employees make the difference in our patientsxe2x80x99 lives, and we value their contributions.
