We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to become a part of our team. You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep our medical facility running smoothly. This a part time position with possibility of full time in near future. Responsibilities of this position: Medical assistant/Back Office xe2x81x83 Greets patients and provides necessary paperwork for completion. xe2x81x83 Interview patients and document medical history. – Preparing patient records prior to visit by ensuring that required radiology/labs results are entered in the medical record for doctor review. xe2x81x83 Organize and schedule appointments. xe2x81x83 Update insurance documentation and patient demographics. Insurance verification. – Must have knowledge of medical terminology. xe2x81x83 Authorizations for medication and radiology. – Preparation of disability forms and other forms. xe2x81x83 Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms. xe2x81x83 Assist with busy phone lines. xe2x81x83 Prepare and clean medical rooms. xe2x81x83 Scanning documents into patients chart. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities: xe2x81x83 Excellent organizational/ multi-tasking skills with attention to detail. xe2x81x83 Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and other scanning programs. xe2x81x83 Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work. xe2x81x83 Must have reliable Transportation. Our main office is in Ronkonkoma. You will also be require to travel to our Garden City office 1-2 times a week. xe2x81x83 Ability to work as an efficient team member. xe2x81x83 Works efficiently under conditions of stress and in times of high patient volume or additional workload. – We will train you on our cloud based EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system. We are a start up medical practice that is expanding rapidly and looking to recruit team members who want to work in an exciting environment that values initiative and leadership amongst its employees.
