We are seeking a full-time skilled Medical Assistant who provides high-quality healthcare to community members. The right candidate is committed to improving the health and well-being of patients through compassionate care and a patient centered approach. A strong desire to provide health education and assist in the removal of barriers to health care will ensure success in this role. General job duties: Assist healthcare providers in various clinical procedures and examinations. Take and record patient vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints. Prepare patients for examinations and treatments. Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians. Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and other diagnostic tests. Maintain and update patient medical records accurately and confidentially. Ensure a clean and organized clinical environment. Provide patients with education and instructions regarding their conditions and treatment plans. Assist with front-office duties such as scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information. CPR/BLS certification. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic health records (EHR) systems. Compassion and empathy for patients. Previous experience in a clinical setting is a plus.
