As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support the doctor and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. Responsibilities General medical assistant duties: patient intake, drawing injections, suture/staple removals, basic wound care, and supplies, casting, splints Organize and schedule appointments and procedures Update medical history and medications Assist during medical examinations Use electronic medical record system to answer patient questions and send the physician tasks Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments Help any patient that needs help in or out of their car. Lift and maneuver patients as needed to obtain images. Upload CDxe2x80x99s that patients bring in for their appointment. Room patients, help taking splint off, casting as needed. (Experience preferred but will train if needed) Performs other job-related duties as assigned Skills Proven working experience as a medical assistant or medical secretary Bilingual (Spanish) Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 – $23.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Health insurance Paid time off Medical specialties: Orthopedics Sports Medicine Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Work setting: Clinic In-person Experience: EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred) Vital signs: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: BLS Certification (Preferred) Certified Medical Assistant (Required) Work Location: In person
