Medical Assistant Location: Tigard, OR Hours: 28-35 hours, schedule varies Pay scale: $20-25 per hour DOE based on work longevity. Open to entry level. Hire on Incentive MyTeam Medical Staffing seeks to place one (1) Medical Assistant with a surgical specialty clinic in Tigard, OR. Medical Assistant may possess a minimum of 1-year current physician office or clinic experience preferably in a surgical environment but open to entry level. Medical Assistants schedule will be 28-35 hours(flexible). Schedule is 12 hour days Mon-Wed with Thur/Fri off. Position is procedure based with a lot of training. QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a graduate of an accredited MA program: REQUIRED Must possess a current MA credential, e.g., CMA (AAMA), RMA, NCMA, etc.: REQUIRED Must possess a current BLS/CPR: REQUIRED Must be able to show proof of required immunizations: REQUIRED Must have proven work experience and references: REQUIRED Position requires the basic skills and use of Google and Microsoft Suite applications Capable of sitting and standing for long periods of time Be knowledgeable of medical terminology ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist provider with all aspects of patient care including exams and procedures Room and prepare patients for procedures according to provider orders Obtain accurate vital signs, and assist patient in exam room Escort patient where necessary, and educate patients on pre/post procedure care instructions according to verbal directions from provider Clean and prepare patient exam, consultation and operating room Performing pre/post operative care, bandaging, wound care, suture/staple removal Charting in the EMR, preparing charts for patients on next day’s schedule Auditing charts, maintaining pharmacy including drug counts, inventory and record keeping Schedule patient visits Maintain and adhere to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local healthcare requirements and AAAA standards Medical Assistant will learn all aspects of a surgical practice. Other duties as assigned.
