Qualifications:xe2x80xa2 5+ years of accounting/finance or industrial engineering experience in a machine shop or discreet product manufacturing environment. Product costing experience essential.xe2x80xa2 BA/BS degree, as well as excellent analysis skills, and the ability to collaborate with a multi-department team. Associate degree with relevant experience would also be considered.xe2x80xa2 Experience in the aerospace industry is desirable but not essential.xe2x80xa2 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products and a major ERP system (Made2Manage would be a big plus).xe2x80xa2 Strong writing and communication skills, solid accounting foundation, interpersonal relations, analytical skills, and technical skillsxe2x80xa2 CMA or CGMA preferred but not essential.xc2xa0Duties & Expectations:xe2x80xa2 Coordinate annual (or ad hoc) physical inventory counts.xe2x80xa2 Coordinate cycle count activities/program. Investigate cycle counting variances and resolve issues.xe2x80xa2 Establish and update (as needed) standard costs for both manufactured and purchased inventory. Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies.xe2x80xa2 Close xe2x80x9ccompletedxe2x80x9d jobs after analysis of variances. Identify systemic issues for consideration of standards changes.xe2x80xa2 Validate the cost of goods sold as part of the month-end close.xe2x80xa2 Revise the reserve for excess and/or obsolete inventory as needed.xe2x80xa2 Report on periodic variances and their causes, focusing on both spending and efficiency variances.xe2x80xa2 Collecting and analyzing data about a companyxe2x80x99s operational costs.xe2x80xa2 Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.xe2x80xa2 Make estimates of new and proposed product costs.xe2x80xa2 Develop standard costs, including labor and overhead rates each new year, based on budget.xe2x80xa2 Performing month-end cost accounting closexe2x80xa2 Aware of quality policies, procedures, objectives, contribution to conformance of product, safety and ethics.
