Job descriptionTo function as a member of the clinical team performing a supportive role in the delivery of patient care that is safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable.Looking for Full and Part Time positions. Travel between Kingsport, Johnson City, TN.Responsibilities and Duties include but not limited to:Will be in procedures assisting with: Sterling prepping patient, prepping physician and procedure room, opening sterile equipment/instruments, retrieving any additional supplies, including instruments and medication.Establishes and maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures in the procedure room.Ensures sterility of all supplies and instruments during the setup of surgical procedures.Maintains inventory stock for procedure days.Assist in post-op care of patients.Previous experience in consenting patients.PRN for nursing staff on clinical days for VenousPreparation of surgical consents, time-outs, and verify Authorizations are finalized.Uses Standard Universal Precautions, appropriate hand hygiene, personal protective equipment, and safe practices to ensure personal safety and a safe environment.Knowledge/Ability to:Establishes and maintains positive interpersonal relationships and promotes effective teamwork with patients, families, coworkers, and the community to meet customer service goals.Demonstrates effective use of medical terminology and EMR system.Demonstrates knowledge and awareness of policies and procedures.Demonstrates effective problem solving, critical thinking, planning, and decision-making skills.Able to handle stressful or difficult situations.Demonstrates dependability and initiative as a member of a team.Demonstrates effective customer service skills and communication skills (verbal and written).Demonstrates effective time management skills including priority setting.Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting.Ability to interact with diverse groups of patients, members of the public and other healthcare providers.Ability to follow instructions as directed and to ask for clarity if not understood.EDUCATION: CMA/RMA/LPNEXPERIENCE:2 years of medical/surgical experience preferred, but a less qualified candidate may be considered.Job Type: Full Time and Part TimeRequired license or certification: LPN, CMA, RMA, CNA
