We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in the Manufacturing industry located in ALSIP, Illinois, United States. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing the accounting operations in a manufacturing plant, with a focus on cost accounting and inventory control. This role requires leadership experience and skills in process improvement, month-end close, general ledger, and journal entries. Responsibilities:xe2x80xa2 Oversee and manage all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate standards and regulatory requirementsxe2x80xa2 Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs, and both team and organizational budgets and actual expendituresxe2x80xa2 Coordinate all audit activityxe2x80xa2 Leverage skills in cost accounting and inventory control to ensure accurate financial reportingxe2x80xa2 Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely mannerxe2x80xa2 Monitor the financial performance of the company by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variancesxe2x80xa2 Utilize leadership experience to streamline and improve processesxe2x80xa2 Implement and manage software systems and tools to provide critical financial and operational informationxe2x80xa2 Use Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reportingxe2x80xa2 Ensure month-end and year-end close processes are completed accurately and on time.xe2x80xa2 Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industryxe2x80xa2 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel xe2x80xa2 Comprehensive knowledge and experience in Cost Accounting xe2x80xa2 Strong understanding of Manufacturing Cost Accounting xe2x80xa2 Familiarity with General Ledger management xe2x80xa2 Experience in Journal Entries preparation and managementxe2x80xa2 Proven track record in Process Improvement initiatives xe2x80xa2 Experience in managing Month End Close procedures xe2x80xa2 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills xe2x80xa2 Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities xe2x80xa2 Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred xe2x80xa2 CPA or CMA certification is considered a plus xe2x80xa2 Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines xe2x80xa2 High attention to detail and accuracy xe2x80xa2 Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience overseeing a team.
