Responsibilities:- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients- Follow care plans and communicate any changes in patient condition to the nursing staff- Collect specimens for laboratory testing, such as urine or blood samples- Assist with medical procedures, including catheter care and venipuncture- Document patient information and maintain accurate medical records- Observe and report any changes in patient behavior or mental status to the nursing staff Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent- Completion of an accredited nursing assistant program- Current certification as a nursing assistant (CNA)- Experience working with children or in behavioral health is a plus- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic physiology- Ability to lift and move patients safely using proper techniques- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
