Our CMA will work directly with office provider(s) to maintain patient records, explain common medical procedures to patients, assist in basic examinations, and to collect test samples. The successful candidate will assist in delivering efficient premium care to each and every patient by working in our one physician office which offers excellent working hours. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for: – Maintaining accurate and current patient records within the EHR/EMR system- Help convert hard copy records into EHR/EMR system- Record patient info such as vital signs, weight, and changes in medical history prior to each appointment- Help with referrals and authorizations- Clean and prepare examination rooms prior to patient appointments- Schedule appointments to patients as required- Assist in front desk taking care of tasks such as greeting patients as they enter office, Check-In/Check-Out patients, answering phone calls, and other related duties- Assist office staff in maintaining medical inventory and placing orders for new materials as needed- Deliver quality care while maintaining all office metrics pertaining to productivity- Establish rapport with patients and encourage them to talk with you candidly and frankly Qualifications: – Associate Degree in a Medical field- High level of professionalism- Strong customer service skills- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $17.00 per hour Benefits: Paid time off Medical specialties: Internal Medicine Primary Care Schedule: Monday to Friday No weekends Work setting: In-person Office Private practice License/Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred) Ability to Relocate: Elgin, IL 60123: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
