We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to become a part of our team! This position requires a high energy individual with good communication skills, who is detail oriented, well organized, and compassionate to support our providers and ensure efficient and excellent care. The CMA must follow HIPPA guidelines,xc2xa0be able to think critically, and prioritize workflow. They will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the office running smoothly. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time and are not limited to the following…Responsibilities:Perform routine clinical tasks; greet and prepare patents for examinations, including taking vital signs, ensuring their comfort and addressing any questions or concerns to support medical staff.Perform routine diagnostic procedures such as administering medications as directed, phlebotomy, and specimen collection.Provide patient education on medications, procedures, and follow-up as directed by providers.Maintain accurate and up to date patient records in electronic health record (EHR) system.Ensure efficient patient flow and minimize wait times.Ensure the proper maintenance and sterilization of medical instruments and equipment.Monitor and manage inventory of medical supplies, ordering when necessary.Ensure exam rooms are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to facilitate effective patient care.Communicate relevant patient information to the healthcare team in a timely and accurate manner.Provide backup and support to other team members and providers when necessary to ensure high quality care and the best most efficient service possible.Adhere to established clinical protocols and assist in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the enhancement of patient care processes.Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to protect themselves and others from infections when necessary and ensure proper disposal of PPE and any hazardous materials.Must be prepared to respond quickly in an emergency situation to assist healthcare professionals, providing CPR or other urgent interventions.xe2x80x8bQualifications:Current certification as CMA from an accredited institution.Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and protocols.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients and healthcare team members.Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) system.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize responsibilities and work efficiently and effectively.Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalentGraduated from accredited institution as a Certified Medical Assistant2-3 years’ experience preferredPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must have the ability to travel independently through the building to access information from other departments.Normal range of motion to fulfill job duties as described above including but not limited to:Sitting and working at a computerWalking, reaching, beadingStanding for extended periods during patient exams or procedures.Assisting pediatric patients to examination tables and/or positioning them for medical procedures when necessary.Using fine motor skills when using medical equipment, such as thermometers, blood pressure cuffs and other diagnostic tools.
