Position Overview:As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) at Arthritis Specialty Center, you will play a crucial role in our healthcare team by providing direct patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality medical services. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient experiences and optimal treatment outcomes. Responsibilities: Perform administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling billing and insurance procedures. Assist healthcare providers during medical examinations and procedures, including taking vital signs, recording patient histories, and preparing examination rooms. Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers, ensuring accurate dosage and patient safety. Conduct basic laboratory tests, such as blood draws and urinalysis, and prepare specimens for analysis. Provide patient education and support, including explaining treatment procedures, medications, and post-care instructions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of medical equipment and examination rooms, adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care plans and facilitate effective communication. Qualifications: Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). Previous experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a clinical or ambulatory care environment. Proficiency in medical terminology, patient assessment, and clinical procedures. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Attention to detail and accuracy in performing clinical tasks and documentation. Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
