We are looking to add friendly and personable Medical Assistants (CMA or RMA) for our Greer clinic located at 1305 S Suber Rd, Greer, SC 29650. *This position requires completion of a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant education at an accredited institution*Scheduling is 8am-8pm. Full time is 3 days per week. There are rotating weekends and occasional holidays involved in the schedule. Our schedule comes out on a monthly basis. Employees will have a ‘home’ location, and there may be occasional travel to different locations. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIESxe2x80xa2 Prepare patient(s) for and assist with examination and/or treatmentxe2x80xa2 Perform triage and obtain vital signsxe2x80xa2 Obtain and timely and accurately document patient history in Electronic Medical Record (EMR)xe2x80xa2 Collect and maintain all patient and business documents while always maintaining confidentialityxe2x80xa2 Collect routine laboratory specimens including phlebotomy, urinalysis and/or oral swabsxe2x80xa2 Administer medications and non-intravenous injections (intramuscular, subcutaneous and/or intradermal) xe2x80xa2 Start an IV, place a catheter and perform splinting when needed/directedxe2x80xa2 Perform various other clinical, aseptic and/or basic laboratory proceduresxe2x80xa2 Document within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) all medical interventions timely and accuratelyxe2x80xa2 Train and assist with our Occupational Medicine service line utilizing our current EMR system, drug screening, breath alcohol testing, audiograms, respiratory fit, pulmonary function testing and/or abiding by the systems and/or protocols set forth by the company xe2x80xa2 Understand and enforce standard health care regulatory requirementsxe2x80xa2 Responsible for quality assurance program for compliance with CLIA waived laboratory and patient result trackersxe2x80xa2 Always ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliancexe2x80xa2 Perform office procedures including all general administrative duties; ability to operate all office medical equipmentxe2x80xa2 xe2x80xafRequired to travel to various locations as needed based on staffing and volumexe2x80xa2 xe2x80xafOther duties as assignedEDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT & QUALIFICATIONS:xe2x80xa2 Successful completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institutionxe2x80xa2 One year of relevant healthcare experience; preferably urgent care or emergency departmentxe2x80xa2 Willing to train new, stellar graduatesxe2x80xa2 Must be proficient in venipuncture and injectionsxe2x80xa2 Knowledge of clinical procedures, medical anatomy, and physiologyPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:xe2x80xa2 Required to work 12 hours shifts, weekends and holidaysxe2x80xa2 Required to sit, walk, reach with hands and arms throughout workdayxe2x80xa2 Finger dexterity and hand coordination required xe2x80xa2 Occasionally required to lift moderate weight (20-40 pounds)xe2x80xa2 Specific vision abilities required including close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust or focus INDPH
