This position is full time (4 days a week, 32 hours a week) in Lancaster, SC. To create a positive impression of Nephrology Associates, P.A. This position is a major contributing factor to the success of the practice with patient satisfaction and customer service as top priority. Summary of Position: Provide clinical support for the Physicians and Nurse Practitioner’s, and clerical support as needed. Assist patients to the examination rooms and prepare for the office visit. Record accurate vial signs, collect specimens as directed, give injections, and provide patient education, as well as, other assigned clinical duties as directed. Be warm and friendly and always greet patients with a smile. Job Duties: Smile, be friendly, greet and acknowledge all patients, create a positive patient experience. Clinical: Assist patient to exam rooms, accurately record patient vital signs Maintain accurate records of medications administered, review medications with patients and update medication list Review patients diet and provide education material Administer injections as directed, perform venipuncture, specimen collection and urinalysis as directed. Clerical: Prepare charts for the week, reviewing records for referrals, test reports, lab work, make new patient charts when needed Review forms, review reports received from hospital or referring agency, assist with scheduling out patient referrals or other test Answer phones, return voicemails, fax, coping, and filing Other Duties as Assigned: Be on time daily, demonstrate regard for the dignity and respect of all patients, family members and visitors. Qualifications: Completion of a MOA course is required, Certification preferred Certification in CPR Epic EMR experience preferred, proficient computer skills and other office equipment Excellent Organizational and Time Management Skills Display professional appearance and communication skills, attention to detail and follow through Adheres to policies, procedures, regulations, and able to follow verbal and written instructions Ability to function in stressful situations, maintain calmness and order Must be flexible, display good judgement and enthusiasm Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 – $19.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Health insurance Travel reimbursement Medical specialties: Nephrology Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience: Medical office assistant: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: Multiple locations
