Medical Temporaries, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant-Family. Minimum of 1 year of experience required. This is a FULL TIME/TEMP TO HIRE position requiring availability between the hours of 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, located in Norfolk, VA (23507). Responsibilities:A Day in the Life of a Certified Medical Assistant-Family:As a Certified Medical Assistant in a Family Practice clinic, you will be responsible for providing excellent patient care while abiding by all HIPAA laws and regulations in an outpatient clinic setting. Your role is instrumental in the assessment process for the clinic visit which includes obtaining vitals, Administer injection of medications or immunizations by approved nursing protocols., observing patients for any reaction to medications, immunizations, treatments, and significant incidents, Preparing exam rooms for patient visits, restocking of the clinical area and exam rooms rooming patient, Sterilize instruments when used and maintain medical equipment documentation in patient charts (EMR), calling in prescriptions to the pharmacy, completing follow-up phone calls to patients, assisting the provider during the patientxe2x80x99s visit, and any other duties as assigned by the supervisor. This position is in Norfolk 23507.Requirements for the Certified Medical Assistant- Family:Required: Maintain current CPR certification and nursing license Required: Successful completion of a Medical assistant program (or equivalent military training) and certification (CMA, CCMA, or RMA) Required: Completion of BLS class and re-certify every 2 years Required: COVID vaccination or medical waiverRequired: Ability to pass Background Check and Drug ScreenRequired: Must be reliable and a quick learner and can multi-task with accuracy in a very busy environmentRequired: Excellent written and verbal communication skillsRequired: Must have some working knowledge of computers Required: Customer service-oriented individual is required Preferred Qualifications for the Certified Medical Assistant- Family:Preferred: Family Practice experienceBenefits:$15.00 PER HOUR OR MORE DEPENDING ON YOUR LEVEL OF EXPERIENCEWeekly PayOFF WEEKENDS FOR THIS POSITION!Direct Deposit PayMedical InsuranceOpen communication and ability to contact a staffing specialist seven days a week.Ability to access our consistently updated Job Board for current job opportunities.
