Certified Medical Assistant/CMA xe2x80x93 Heart & Vascular Specialists Fast-paced, high-volume clinic looking for a top skilled CMA **Sign-On for Eligible New Hires** Work location: 8440 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas, TX 75231 Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am xe2x80x93 5:00pm Travel: 25% to travel to Rockwall location 1-2 times/week as needed. Join our team members who have strong work ethic, positive attitudes, and support each other thru collaborative teamwork We pride ourselves in being compassionate and empathic to our patients and team Herexe2x80x99s What You Need High School Diploma or equivalent (required) CMA – Current Medical Assistant Certification (required) BCLS (strongly preferred) New Grads Welcome with Completed Onsite Externship 1 year Medical Assistant experience (preferred) Ability to perform EKGs Basic computer skills using medical management application systems Effectively communicate with staff and patients Thorough knowledge of the meaning and use of medical terminology and abbreviations Demonstrates sound judgement in emergency situations Takes appropriate action in urgent circumstances Maintains a positive, customer-focused attitude toward staff and patients Possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism What You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the Certified Medical Assistant Process Performs general patient care by following established standards and procedures. Obtains and records vital signs including, but not limited to: blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, and current medications and presenting problem. Documents patient plan(s) of care, tests and examination results in the medical record as directed by the provider. Communicates with patient regarding test results and plan of care by phone or mail as directed by physician. Escalates non-routine issues, questions and/or concerns to the practice manager or healthcare provider(s). Ensures safety checklists/quality controls are completed as required. Provides for patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights.
