Location: Farmington, CT Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 week contract to start Schedule: Mon-Fri: 7:00 am- 3:30 pm 40hrs/week Salary: Up to $27/hr, based on experience. Requirements: Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) Previous experience in a dynamic doctor’s office and urgent care setting preferred. Ability to draw blood required. Strong work ethic. Excellent people skills. 2 years’ experience of EKG point-click-care testing Must have Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program [CAAHEP or ABHES] and current registration as a Certified Medical Assistant [CMA] by AAMA or an equivalent certifying body Covid Vaccine- Medical and religious declinations are allowed. Flu Vaccine- Medical and religious declinations are allowed Position DescriptionPosition Description: Oncology Specialty Medical Assistant – Neag Cancer Center, M-F 8a-5p, minor holidays required, ONLY Local candidates are accepted (75 miles or less), All time off required at time of submission. – IVS to Auto offer. Shift: Mon-Fri 8a-5p, minor holidays required. EMR: EPIC. Scrubs: any color. These positions will work in the Cancer Center clinics and may require providing coverage to other areas of the Cancer Center including the Infusion Room, Adult Ambulatory Care Unit, Radiation Oncology, New England Sickle Cell Institute and Colon Cancer Prevention Program. Required Upon Submission: 2 years’ experience Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program [CAAHEP or ABHES] and current registration as a Certified Medical Assistant [CMA] by AAMA or an equivalent certifying body, BLS required. PREFERRED: EPIC experience, high volume ambulatory care clinic experience. Hematology/oncology/infusion medical practice experience or outpatient clinical experience.
