To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following skillset: Proven working experience as a Medical Assistant (blood pressure, vitals, preparing patients for exams, injections, blood draws, collecting specimens for in-office labs such as UA, Rapid Strep, Rapid Flu, assist with procedures, medication dosing, etc.) Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology and infection control. Perform administrative and clinical tasks to support healthcare professionals in an urgent care setting. Front desk experience is preferred (patient check in, insurance verification, collecting patient payments, etc.) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations. Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work. Social perceptiveness and service oriented. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Professionalism with office staff, providers and patients. Strong organizational and planning skills. Qualifications: Experience working in a back office/clinical role in a hospital or clinical setting. Current BLS certification Current RMA or CMA certification preferred (or the ability to obtain certification within the first 90 days of employment). Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
