“`Duties“`- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, and billing and coding for insurance purposes.- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and treatments.- Administer medications, including injections, as directed by healthcare providers.- Prepare patients for procedures and assist with minor surgeries.- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing.- Provide patient education on medications, procedures, and general health topics.- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urinalysis and blood glucose monitoring.- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment. “`Qualifications“`- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program.- Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.- Proficiency in medication administration techniques, including inhalation.- Ability to provide excellent patient care with compassion and empathy.- Basic life support (BLS) certification.- Strong customer service skills to ensure positive patient experiences.- Familiarity with X-ray procedures and equipment is a plus.- 10 years of Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred. – Ability to speak Spanish, Russian or Chinese is preferred Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
