One of Insight Global’s multi-specialty practice clients is looking for a Medical Assistant to join their growing team in Pennington, NJ. Specifically, this person will be working in Rheumatology and Endocrinology. The schedule isxc2xa0Monday-Friday 8 AM-4:30 PMxc2xa0Below is a brief list of responsibilities and duties to expect on a day-to-day basis:Prepare exam rooms for patient encounters and assists LIP as requestedDirect patients to examination rooms; assists in preparing patients for examination; assists patients in undressing, dressing and getting on and off of the examination tableNotify provider of patient’s arrival and readiness for their examinationAssist providers with patient examinationsReview charts prior to patients’ scheduled appointment to assure that all requested lab work and diagnostic procedures have been completed and that reports have been returned and are accessible to the providerRecords medical history, current medications, treatments, and problem list accuratelyObtains and records patient vital signs, temperature, pulse, and blood pressure and reason for visitAssist with patient equipment downloads, utilizing a variety of medical device software programs and printing appropriate reports for LIP review accurately and in a timely mannerAssist with medication reconciliation process, reviewing and accurately documenting patient medicationsAccurately and efficiently performs all clerical duties as needed, including but not limited to patient registration, billing, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and initiating, maintaining and filing medical recordsAssists with equipment cleaning, disinfection, and pasteurization, documenting appropriately according to standardized protocolsDisseminates and communicates accurate patient information appropriate to the patient’s disorderAccurately input data in the registration, electronic medical record, database and scheduling systems according to established proceduresAssist patients to complete essential paperwork and questionnairesAssure exam rooms are cleaned after each patient and appropriately stocked with necessary supplies, equipment and formsPractice proper infection control techniquesCross-trained to perform Patient Reception Rep job duties as neededPerform other selected clinical and clerical duties that assist in the delivery of primary health care and patient care management within office location under the direction of a provider and managerPrepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature; reporting patient history summaryClean exam rooms, obtains lab specimensAssists the physicians and other staff as neededMust-haves:Active Medical Assistant certificationCurrent/updated CPR or BLS certification1-3 years of experience as a Certified Medical AssistantFlu shot
