Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

We are looking to hire a Medical Assistant for our practice who shares our energy, commitment, and enthusiasm for creating the best experience for our patients. Candidate must be self-motivated, responsible, and willing to cross-train. Job Responsibilities: xc2xb7 Takes patient vitals to include Height, Weight, and B/P. xc2xb7 Performs a clinical review of charts for upcoming appointments xc2xb7 Performs patient education when appropriate; to include instructions about medications xc2xb7 Assist physician in any procedure or lab request xc2xb7 Administer IM and Sub Q injections as directed by the physician xc2xb7 Prescription refill request, and calls for medications to pharmacy xc2xb7 Maintain examining rooms – organized and stocked xc2xb7 Maintain the Lab & Procedure Room xe2x80x93 organized xc2xb7 Keep correct inventory levels of medical supplies xc2xb7 Communicate basic clinical information to staff and patients xc2xb7 Explain common medical procedure to patients and assist in basic examinations xc2xb7 Help with pre-authorization of specialty medications xc2xb7 Help other team members as when needed for cross coverage xc2xb7 EMR proficiency needed Qualifications xc2xb7 Prior medical office experience xc2xb7 Strong customer service and communication skills xc2xb7 Basic medical terminology xc2xb7 Team player and multitasker xc2xb7 Medical Assistant Certification/Registration a plus Preferred Qualifications xc2xb7 Certified plus at least two (2) yearsxe2x80x99 experience as a Medical Assistant. xc2xb7 Experienced for IM and Sub Q Injections Depending on experience: $16-$19 per hour Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Disability insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Medical specialties: Allergy & Immunology Rheumatology Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Work setting: Clinic In-person Experience: Medical office: 2 years (Required) Vital signs: 1 year (Required) Experience administering injections: 1 year (Required) License/Certification: BLS Certification (Preferred) Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred) Work Location: In person
