Responsibilities: Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse Administer injections and medications as directed by healthcare providers Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing Update patient medical records with accurate and current information Provide patient education on medical conditions, treatments, and medications Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals for patients Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety standards Requirements: Certification or certificate eligible as a Medical Assistant Proficiency in medical terminology and knowledge of anatomy and physiology Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred Familiarity with electronic health records Excellent customer service skills and ability to provide compassionate patient care Basic life support (BLS) certification is required in this position (we pay) Knowledge of office procedures is a plus Skills: Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology Ability to accurately record and interpret vital signs Proficiency in administering injections and medications Knowledge of basic laboratory tests and specimen collection techniques Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients on medical conditions and treatments Please note that this job description is not exhaustive, and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
