Title: Certified Medical Assistant Location: Washington, IA 52353 Duration: 13 weeks contract with possible extension Shift : 7:45am-5:15pm M-F Job Description- SUMMARY This position is responsible for assisting nursing staff and providers with day-to-day operations in association with direct and indirect care of patients in the clinic. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each responsibility satisfactorily. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to the following) xc2xb7 Prepare patients for examination and treatment xc2xb7 Complete all necessary documentation in patients’ medical records in accordance with the clinic’s charting policy xc2xb7 Maintain and utilize effective communication with patients, coworkers and visitors xc2xb7 Demonstrate responsibility for professionalism growth and development xc2xb7 Actively participate in continuous quality improvements, staff meetings, and education programs xc2xb7 Places orders under the supervision of a provider xc2xb7 Perform and assist with various aspects of patient care such as administering medication under general supervision, providing instructions to patients, performing basic lab procedures as instructed, and assisting with medical procedures as appropriate SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to effectively communicate Time Management skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Organizational skills EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE xc2xb7 BLS certification or obtain upon hire xc2xb7 Experience in medical setting preferred xc2xb7 Certified Medical Assistant Certification xc2xb7 High School or GED preferred Specialty: Nursing Sub Specialty(s): Clinic, Medical Assistant Job Type: Contract Pay: $35.00 – $37.00 per hour Schedule: Day shift Monday to Friday Work setting: In-person Experience: CMA: 3 years (Required) License/Certification: CPR Certification (Required) Certified Medical Assistant (Required) Work Location: In person
