Title: Certified Medical Assistant (MA) OakLeaf Clinics xe2x80x93Eau Claire Medical Clinic has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Certified Medical Assistant supporting our location at 3802 W Oakwood Mall Dr Eau Claire, WI 54701 in Eau Claire, WI 54701. OakLeaf Clinics is dedicated to providing our patients with compassion, trust, and a lifetime of individualized care. Our healthcare team consists of physicians, nurse practitioners, certified nurse midwives, nurses and medical assistants working in concert with laboratory/imaging services to offer individualized care to the Chippewa Valley. Position description Duties include rooming patients, taking vital signs, completing medication reconciliation, administering medications including injections, scheduling appointments, completing required prior authorization paperwork, assisting providers with their day-to-day clinical practice, and completing other duties as assigned. Responsibilities xc2xb7 Provide professional nursing or medical assistant care under supervision or scope of licensure for clinic patients xc2xb7 Facilitate/perform the gathering of patient information and document accordingly xc2xb7 Assist with office procedures as directed xc2xb7 Assist with the preparation of equipment and aid clinician during treatment, examination, and testing of patients xc2xb7 Schedule follow-up appointments xc2xb7 Instruct patients and families by phone as directed within scope of licensure or certification xc2xb7 Greet patients and prepare them for clinician examination xc2xb7 Screen patients for appropriate information xc2xb7 Maintains timely flow of patients and complete forms as needed xc2xb7 Responsible for preparation of exam rooms including re-stocking of treatment areas xc2xb7 Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations xc2xb7 Maintain patient confidentiality Qualifications xc2xb7 Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program xe2x80x93 Required xc2xb7 Medical Assistant certification from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification from the American Medical Technologist (AMT). xc2xb7 Basic Life Support (BLS) certification xc2xb7 Medical terminology knowledge and understanding of patient care notes xc2xb7 Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills xc2xb7 Detail oriented and accurate xc2xb7 Passionate about providing patient-focused care xc2xb7 Ability to multitask with attention to detail xc2xb7 Prior Epic experience preferred Benefits Oakleaf Clinics offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package!
