Pride Health is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to support our clientxe2x80x99s medical facility based inxc2xa0Rutherford,NJxc2xa0This is a 3+ months contract assignment (conversion into permanent based on your work performance).xc2xa0Schedule: Monday – Friday 8 AM to 5 PM ESTPay Range: $20/hr.-$22/hr. (Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials).xc2xa0xc2xa0Specific Duties:Demonstrate commitment to superior customer service, including quality care and concern for internal and external customers.Administer medications, immunizations, perform EKGs, ear washes, and other patient services.Assist with simple office and minor surgical procedures.Educate patients and/or families as directed by the physician.Perform venipuncture under physician or advance care practitioner direction.Contact patients as needed to provide test results, instructions from the physician, and schedule necessary visits.Answer telephone inquiries, triage calls, and act as a liaison between independent lab services and the center.Perform all laboratory duties including drawing, spinning, prepping blood for testing, and maintaining appropriate logs.Qualifications/Experience Required:Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program with a Medical Assistant school diploma or relevant and equivalent medical assisting experience.2+ years of relevant back office medical assisting experience for candidates without an accredited Medical Assistant diploma or RMA/CMA designation (CMA or RMA will be considered in lieu of experience).Proven solid phlebotomy skills.Bilingual in English and Spanish.High school graduate, GED, or equivalent.Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers (AHA) or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (American Red Cross) or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.Interested?
