We are seeking an experienced, intelligent CMA who is responsible, dedicated, detail-oriented, has a good work ethic, and is a team player. Must have current certificate and ability to work Monday-Friday from 7:30am-5:30pm. Job Responsibilities: Understands, supports, and implements the mission and vision of Alaska Center for Pediatrics. Actively participates in and supports the clinical team in order to provide continuous improvement in patient care delivered by Alaska Center for Pediatrics. Assists in the development of goals for the clinic and implementation of systems to meet and exceed department goals. Room patients and record all information needed by the provider according to needs, including vital signs and significant patient information. Collect only non-invasive laboratory tests. Perform laboratory tests according to protocol. Assess that all medications, supplies and/or equipment are available. Stock exam rooms with gowns, linens and routinely used supplies. Follows department regulations in a manner adhering to compliance programs. Follows clinical compliance including, but not limited to, OSHA, Safety Guidelines, Hazardous Materials, and Disaster Preparedness. Maintain copies of exercises/handouts, recopying when necessary. Plan ahead for exam rooms needed, assuring needed room and supplies are available for procedures. Clean exam and patient areas at the end of the day. Assist with answering telephones, making appointments as necessary Anticipate and solve problems from all above areas of responsibility, with the primary consideration being the efficiency of the providers and the office as a whole. Fulfills all other duties as assigned. Education/Experience: High School diploma or GED required. Certified Medical Assistant Certificate or above required. Two to five years demonstrated operational experience in a medical office preferred. Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate written and verbal instructions. Current Provider/Staff model: 2017 NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home with integrated behavioral health 2 Care Teams made up of the following providers 7 MDs, 2 NPs,1 PA-C and 1 LCSW Registered Nurses on each Care Team Patient Care Coordinator(s) Compensation and Benefits: Competitive compensation DOE Expenses paid include: paid leave and CME Medical, Vision, Dental, Life Insurance based on eligibility 401(k) based on eligibility Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 – $26.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: 10 hour shift 8 hour shift Work setting: In-person Experience: Certified Medical Assistant: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: In person
