Certified Medical Assistant needed to support clinic in Temple Hills, Maryland. Front office, back office and good phlebotomy skills needed. Suppporting HIV/Aids populationxc2xa0’xc2xa0 Description details as follows:Medical Assistant Diploma or Certification from a accredited program/ school required; National MA credentials preferred but not required; experience and confidence in Phlebotomy requiredJob duties include: Locating patients, obtaining accurate vital signs by visual and auditory measures, triaging patients, assessing patientsxe2x80x99 medical condition and preparing patients for medical treatment xe2x80xa2 Completes review of the patientxe2x80x99s record to ensure that all patient specialty referral reports, test and procedure results are present in the EMR pre-clinic visit. xe2x80xa2 Documents services performed for compliance and reporting purposes. xe2x80xa2 Reviews physician orders, laboratory requests or follow-up needs with patient. xe2x80xa2 Performs review of patientxe2x80x99s medications pre-visit with provider. xe2x80xa2 Notifying the Nurse Manager and/or Physician when patient is ready for exam while communicating symptoms and relaying questions about labs xe2x80xa2 Assists nursing and medical staff with examinations and procedures as assigned. xe2x80xa2 Documents observations as requested by an MD and/or Nurse Manager in the patient’s medical record. Administers medications and vaccines as prescribed. xe2x80xa2 Receives and processes orders for referrals, documenting in patientxe2x80x99s medical record when assigned. xe2x80xa2 Complete documentation of services and care provided in the patientxe2x80x99s medical record the same business day the service was performed. xe2x80xa2 Maintains supplies and cleanliness of examination rooms. xe2x80xa2 Maintains logs as directed by the Nurse Manager. xe2x80xa2 Ensures smooth patient flow by ensuring prompt attention to pulling patient charts and necessary medical records.
