Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) Generations Family Practice is excited to bring on new team members for our organization! Clinical team member must be knowledgeable of the scope of her/his position and license or certification including but not limited to the following abilities: xc2xb7 To care for patients of all ages. xc2xb7 Patient calls and prescription refills. Triage appropriately. xc2xb7 To evaluate patient outcomes, and to continually reassess all components of patient care based on new data. xc2xb7 To apply human relations skills, to rapidly establish a good rapport with patients, to respond courteously to patient and family, to respect and protect patientxe2x80x99s rights, and to maintain cooperative working relationships with providers, families, and coworkers. xc2xb7 To demonstrate accountability in the performance of clinical actions which meet prescribed standards. xc2xb7 To adapt work organization to changing priorities and carry out the medical treatment regime as ordered by the provider. xc2xb7 * To complete all appropriate documentation & utilize EHR (Athena) appropriately* xc2xb7 To work as a team member and offer assistance to colleagues when needed. Work Performed: xc2xb7 Provide individual nursing care to patients under the direction of the providers to include assisting with the care plan for assigned patients from verbal report, medical chart and other patient records. xc2xb7 Implement care of patients by utilizing standing orders, such as: completing medication refills, ordering and administering tests, and delivering routine preventative services. xc2xb7 Work in conjunction with providers to assist in coordinating care of patients to specialists, patient support services, patient education classes and wellness programs. xc2xb7 To utilize all automated systems. xc2xb7 Administer medications as prescribed by providers and employ special clinical care techniques as required; maintain required records. xc2xb7 Administer injections and medications, dress wounds and incisions. Assist in minor surgery and perform related tasks as directed. xc2xb7 Administer medical testing, including but not limited to; electrocardiograms, spirometry, and audiograms. xc2xb7 Assist in the examination and treatment of patients to include taking vital signs, drawing blood, extracting sutures, operating equipment and placing soft casts or splints; catheterizations, clean wounds, apply medications and dressings and assist in minor surgical procedures and utilizing sterile techniques; obtain and record data for medical records. xc2xb7 Set up, clean and disinfect examinations rooms to include changing linen; set instruments and equipment for specific procedures; hand instruments; supplies and equipment to examining provider. xc2xb7 Pick up and deliver specimens, equipment, messages, and supplies as directed; maintain inventory of supplies in examination rooms; replenish as required. xc2xb7 Escort and/or transport patients to examination room and other clinic locations; schedule patient appointments and prepare related records. xc2xb7 Maintain work area in clean and orderly condition; wash and sterilize a variety of medical supplies, instruments and equipment. *Proof of current COVID-19 Vaccine is required upon hire* Job Type: Full-time Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Medical specialties: Primary Care Schedule: Monday to Friday Rotating weekends Work setting: Clinic In-person Experience: Medical Assisting: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) (Preferred) Work Location: In person
