Certified Medical Assistant

Medical Assistants are an integral part of the care team; ensuring patient flow and providing quality patient care in a safe and timely manner. This Medical Assistant will be primarily responsible for rooming patients and providing support for some of there immunizations initiatives – the bulk of this role will consist of:Rooming patients in a high volume setting (50-80 patients a day with an average of 5-10 per hour)Administering immunizations such as the influenza shot, covid immunizations and boostersDocumentation of the vaccines and making sure vaccinations are crossing into the state registrysanitizing and preparing rooms for patientsRecording patient medical history into EMR system (EPIC)This is a chance to impact and make a difference in the underserved communities. Many patients will not have English as their primary language, so it is essential that the MA in this role is comfortable communicating with folks from different backgrounds and cultures.3-5 Must Have Skills/Qualifications:MA-C Certification Through the Washington State DOHNice to Have SkillsCustomer Service ExperiencePrior Covid Support ExperienceEPIC ExperienceBilingual (any language, but Spanish or Korean is especially valuable)Schedule/Shift:M-F 8a-5pContract Length: 800 Hours. Opportunity to convert to permanent hire after satisfactory completion of contract.
