About us Advocare LLCis looking for a reliable, compassionate, and respectful staff member to join our team! We provide top quality care for our patients within our communities. The position is primarily clinical but the CMA will also be required to cover the front desk / reception phones as needed. Also scribing for the providers will be required on occasion. Job Summary: We are seeking to hire a Certified Medical Assistant (P/T or Per Diem) who will assist other healthcare professionals in clinical settings and administrative areas to join us. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, professional, and capable of managing their workload in a fast-paced pediatric office environment. We are looking for a candidate who can work either part-time or one to two days a week, 9 am to 5 pm, and cover staff vacation days as needed with advanced notice. Education and Experience: xc2xb7 High school diploma or equivalent required xc2xb7 Must be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) (AAMA) preferred. xc2xb7 Two years of prior experience in a medical setting preferred; pediatrics preferred. Required Skills/Abilities: xc2xb7 Firm grasp on medical practices, strong clinical skills xc2xb7 Strong interpersonal and communication skills xc2xb7 Proficient in administrative tasks xc2xb7 Must be highly organized and detail oriented. xc2xb7 Familiarity with medical terminology and digital record systems xc2xb7 Ability to communicate effectively and verbalize ideas xc2xb7 Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands and demonstrates the highest level of patient/client service and response xc2xb7 Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Duties/Responsibilities: xc2xb7 Completes a broad variety of clinical duties and some administrative tasks including but not limited to obtaining and recording patient medical histories, receiving and directing phone calls, ensuring successful completion of all forms. xc2xb7 Preparing patients for examination by performing physical tests, taking vitals, reporting patient history and summary xc2xb7 Preparing treatment rooms for clinical examinations xc2xb7 Counseling patients by transmitting physiciansxe2x80x99 orders and questions about the treatment xc2xb7 Delivering attentive compassionate support and assistance to patients and families xc2xb7 Aid in administering immunizations to and collecting specimens from infants, children, and teens. xc2xb7 Ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations including HIPAA, OSHA, etc. xc2xb7 Aides staff, physicians, and other faculty as needed xc2xb7 Performs additional job-related duties as assigned Job Types: Part-time, Per diem Benefits: Flexible schedule Paid sick time Paid training Medical specialties: Pediatrics Schedule: Monday to Friday No weekends Work setting: In-person Office Experience: CLINICAL: 2 years (Required) Vital signs: 2 years (Required) License/Certification: BLS Certification (Preferred) Certified Medical Assistant CERTIFICATE (Required) Ability to Relocate: Newton, NJ 07860: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
