Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Allergy & Asthma Specialty Service, P.S. – Lakewood, WA Duties: Welcoming patients after check-in and obtaining vital signs, as well as educating and coaching on spirometry for asthma patients. Entering information into the EHR. Administering a variety of injections including allergy shots, xolair, nucala, immunizations, and corticosteroids. Monitoring allergy shot patients for reactions and administering appropriate care. Checking in, checking out and scheduling patients when needed. Must be able to travel to at least two locations (Gig Harbor / Puyallup) Desired Qualities/Values: Excellent customer service skills and professionalism. Focused with excellent attention to detail. Follows directions well. Team focused work to get everything done cohesively. Not letting any area or person in the clinic fall behind. Excels within/energized by a fast-paced work environment. Adaptable and flexible. Must be on time and committed to good attendance. Requirements: Current WA State certified MA license. Completed an accredited Medical Assistant program. Understanding of the concepts of universal precautions, HIPAA and OSHA. Basic understanding of EHR software/good typing skills . 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
