Job Title: Travel Certified Medical Assistant Weekly Pay: $1,111 per week Clinic Locations: Pella, IA – Ottumwa, IA – Prairie City, IA Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Days, 40 hours per week guaranteed Job Summary: As a Travel Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting healthcare providers within clinic settings across various locations in Iowa. Your primary responsibilities will include aiding healthcare providers with patient examinations, phone calls, treatments, and procedures, all under the provider’s direction and within the scope of professional licensure. You will also be responsible for maintaining patient medical records and documentation, collecting and preparing specimens, and administering medications as ordered by the provider. Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Graduate of an accredited program for LPNs, Certified Medical Assistants, RNs, or ATCs Certification/Licensure in the States of Iowa Previous acute or clinic experience Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS required; new employees certify within three (3) months after hire date Ability to read and communicate effectively in English High degree of empathetic listening, tact, and kindness toward others Ability to communicate well verbally and work effectively as a member of a team Basic computer knowledge Technical and critical thinking skills in relation to sound nursing judgment Knowledge of skilled nursing practices This position offers an exciting opportunity to work as an integral part of a healthcare team, providing essential support to clinic healthcare providers and ensuring high-quality care for patients.
