Job description We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Back Office Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Back Office Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing essential support to medical professionals and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facility. Schedule: Assigned schedule will vary w/hours: Monday-Saturday, 8am-8pm Traveling to other offices in applicant’s personal vehicle required, must maintain active auto insurance. Mileage reimbursement eligible. Sites to travel include but are not limited to: Redlands, Chino, Riverside, Moreno Valley, San Bernardino Responsibilities Greet patients, visitors, and staff with a smile. Perform basic medical procedures such as taking vital signs, measuring height and weight, blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations, injections, blood draws, UA, EKG, TB Skin testing, immunizations, throat cultures, Assist healthcare providers with examinations including pap smears, procedures, and treatments Sets out instruments and supplies in anticipation of provider needs and assists provider with performing exams as necessary. Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records Maintain clean, organized and fully stocked exam rooms Maintains all logbooks up to date, e.g., refrigerator and freezer temperature logs, oxygen log, etc. Ensure compliance with medical protocols, regulations, and standards Administer COVID Tests Provide exceptional customer service to patients by addressing their concerns and answering their questions Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care Assist interpreting Spanish clients during examination and throughout appointment May be asked to assist team in additional tasks such as: Assist in front desk duties as needed, answer phones within timely manner and route calls appropriately, including taking messages, scan, upload/download documentsSchedule appointments and obtain necessary information, including referralsVerify insurance eligibility, collect co-payments, & data entry, check in/check out patients Requirements: – Proven experience as a Back Office Medical Assistant – In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and basic life support – Familiarity with coding systems and medical billing processes – Proficient in performing vital signs measurements and other clinical procedures – Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information – Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules If you are dedicated to providing high-quality patient care, possess the necessary medical knowledge and administrative skills, we invite you to apply for the position of Back Office Medical Assistant. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High school diploma or equivalent as well as a medical assisting diploma required. Licensure/Certification: Current CPR required and veni-puncture certificate preferred. Valid California driverxe2x80x99s license required. Experience: Minimum of two years of medical back office required. Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Ability to take vital signs including measuring, weighing, taking pulse/respirations and blood pressure with appropriate cuff. Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal relations skills. Ability to maintain a professional attitude in difficult situations and communicate effectively. Understands needs of clinic and works well in a team environment. Must display integrity and dependability. Ability to relate and work with people from all backgrounds and levels and adapt to various work environments.
